By Order No. A/137 of the Minister of Education of Mongolia, dated 12 June 2026, the Mongolian founders’ representatives on the Board of Governors of the German- Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT) have been renewed.

Mongolia has opened a new chapter in its intellectual sports history by successfully hosting the MIMC 2026 International Mathematics Competition (IMC) for the first time. Recognized as one of the world's most prestigious mathematics competitions for primary and lower secondary school students, the event was held from July 22–27, 2026, at the campus of the German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT) in Nalaikh District, Ulaanbaatar.
