The "GMIT International Study Program" spans the entire academic year from September to June, catering to international students with a solid grasp of English, such as IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80. The courses offered at GMIT can be found in the study plan for your chosen Bachelor's program. Visa
To pursue studies at GMIT in Mongolia, you must obtain a student visa, with the visa fee being the responsibility of the applicant. It is recommended to apply for your student visa promptly, as processing times vary based on your embassy or consulate. Please note that GMIT registration/enrollment is not possible with a tourist visa.
Arrival, Accommodation, and Living Expenses
Situated in Nalaikh (a district of Ulaanbaatar with 33.000 citizens, 35km from downtown), GMIT offers pick-up services from Chinggis Khan International Airport. As a Campus university, GMIT provides dormitory accommodation (shared rooms) for up to 700 students. During your stay, you will need to cover living expenses associated with your lifestyle, including costs for food, clothing, health insurance, transportation, study materials, etc.
Enrollment and Payment
To complete enrollment, please bring the following documents:
- Valid passport with study permit visa
- Original Letter of Admission
- Proof of health insurance
- Completed enrollment form + contract
- Passport size photograph (for student card) Upon submission of required documents, you will receive a remittance slip to pay the semester fee via bank transfer. Once processed within a few working days, the fee will be credited to the GMIT bank account. You will then receive an email to collect your student ID, study plan, and GMIT email account (for accessing the Campus Management System – Intranet) from the Academic and Student Affairs department. Additionally, you can activate your GMIT library account and join our Student Clubs.
