Ulaanbaatar, 1 September 2026 — The German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT) has declared the 2026–2027 academic year the “Year of Digitalization”, marking an important step in the Institute’s efforts to enhance teaching and learning through digital technologies.
GMIT and KAIST signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on November 21, 2022. The Overseas Program is part of the ongoing cooperation between the two institutions, supporting technology education, international exchange, and cultural exchange among students.
By Order No. A/137 of the Minister of Education of Mongolia, dated 12 June 2026, the Mongolian founders’ representatives on the Board of Governors of the German- Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT) have been renewed.
The German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT) successfully organized “GMIT Hackathon 2026 – Sustainable Mining: Systematic Solutions.”
