GMIT Professor L. Altangerel Represents Mongolia at the IMU General Assembly and ICM 2026

Professor L. Altangerel of the German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT) represented the Mongolian Mathematical Society at the General Assembly of the International Mathematical Union (IMU), held in New York City, USA, on 20–21 July 2026.

Following the General Assembly, Professor L. Altangerel is participating in the *International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM 2026)*, taking place in *Philadelphia, USA*, from 23–31 July 2026. At the congress, he presented his research entitled "Tseng's Type Methods in Continuous and Discrete Time for Quasi-Variational Inequalities."

The International Congress of Mathematicians is the world's most prestigious gathering of mathematicians and is held only once every four years. It brings together leading researchers from around the globe to share groundbreaking advances, foster international collaboration, and discuss emerging directions in mathematical sciences.

Professor L. Altangerel was selected through a competitive international travel grant program to represent Mongolia at this prestigious global event. His participation contributes significantly to advancing Mongolia's mathematical research and strengthening international academic collaboration.
