Memorandum of Understanding Signed with Stanford University
Prof. B. Battsengel, Rector of the German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology, and Prof. Jef Caers, a leading expert in Geophysics and Earth Sciences at Stanford University, USA, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize cooperation between the two universities.
The agreement covers various areas of collaboration, including the exchange of educational and research experiences, joint research projects in related fields, the use of campus facilities, and the establishment of student and faculty exchange programs. The signing ceremony was attended by A. Undraa, Member of Mongolian Parliament, G. Gantuya, Environmental Professor at GMIT, and other representatives.
Prof. Jef Caers, a professor in the Department of Geophysics and Earth and Planetary Sciences at Stanford, is also an honorary professor at GMIT. During his visit to Mongolia, he visited the GMIT campus and delivered a presentation to students on the topic, "AI and Data Science for Sustainable Mining: Global Trends and Mongolia's Potential."
