GMIT Students Awarded Buruljut Mining Scholarship for Excellence in Engineering

One of the largest projects in Mongolia’s energy sector, the Buuruljuut Coal Mine and Power Plant Complex, implemented by Tsetsens Mining and Energy LLC, has unveiled its “Future-Builder Engineer” Scholarship Program. This initiative is designed to support the development of skilled professionals in Mongolia’s energy sector, inspire the next generation of engineers, and assist students in their journey toward higher education, employment, and industry contribution.

The program has recognized two exceptional students from the German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology for their academic excellence and potential: U. Michidgerel, a juinior student in the Energy and Electrical Engineering program, was awarded the title “Future Professional Engineer”. A. Tulga, a 4th-year student in the Mechatronics program, was named “Future Consulting Engineer”. Both students received scholarships that include tuition fee coverage and laptops to aid in their academic and professional growth.
