The State Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Science of Saxony visited GMIT
Dr. Andreas Handschuh, State Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Science of the State of Saxony, Germany, and Prof. Dr. Klaus Dieter Barbknecht, Chairman of the Saxon State Rectors' Conference, and Rector of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg and Ms. Katya Polanski, Director of International Office, Languages Department and other representatives visited the German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology.
During the visit, the delegations of Saxony held an official meeting with the delegations of Ministry of Education and Science, Mongolia German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology. Rector Prof. B. Battsengel presented the university and the students exhibited their club activities a long with the campus. In addition, signing ceremony of Renewal Agreement of Student Exchange was organized during the event. It continued with the motivational speech of Dr. Andreas Handshuh.
After the speech, the guests joined the German language course of Ms. B. Batsuren, Senior Lecturer of the Language Center, and Prof. Dr. Klaus Dieter Barbknecht introduced the Summer School along with the Student Exchange Program to GMIT students who are interested in study in Germany. They held a discussion with the students who involved in the programs, and the management team and faculty members.
GMIT students annually involve in tuition fee scholarships, summer schools, and semester exchange programs with the supports of Germany. For example, currently, 82 undergraduate students were awarded by the Summer School in Germany, 202 students involved in the "DAAD Sur-Place" scholarship, 36 bachelor students along with 5 master's students were awarded by the "DAAD-TNB" exchange program. Out of these, the Summer School and Student Exchange Program have been implemented at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
The official visit of the delegations of the state of Saxony will end with the event "Education Day", which will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, in the Diamond Hall of the Blue Sky Hotel.
