GMIT and MUST signed a Memorandum of Understanding

German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Mongolian University of Science and Technology. The agreement aims to cooperate in training, research and other areas, and to establish a relationship of strategic importance. Furthermore, the meeting was involved not only Rectorates but also Deans and Heads of the relevant faculties of GMIT and MUST.  

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. B.Ochirbat, Rector of the MUST mentioned “Due to the lack of technical specialists in our country, we are trying to train as many specialists as possible in this field.” In addition, he mentioned that the universities have a great opportunity to initiate and implement a large-scale projects friendly environmental technologies and introducing the German know-how innovation to Mongolia.



Prof. Dr. B.Battsengel, Rector of GMIT highlighted “We have an opportunity to share our best practices in the study programs and implement research projects together. "Most importantly, we have a wide range of opportunities to cooperate that reflect Germany's know-how and support for the development of Mongolian higher education sector."

The MUST is one of the oldest universities in Mongolia with 60 years rich history, trained more than 90,000 engineers and specialists. Therefore, reflecting the many years of experience of MUST and the new initiatives of GMIT, the universities will continue to support each other in many various ways, including training programs for highly educated engineers in natural resources, minerals and technology.
