German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Traswest Mongolia LLC. In the signing ceremony, heads of both parts discussed opportunities for further cooperation. As a consequence, officially GMIT students have opportunity to get internship in Transwest Mongolia LLC, which is leading mining and construction equipment distributor with exclusive KOMATSU dealership rights, to get acquainted with the company’s operations, to conduct final study project, and to implement research projects with lecturers and engineers.

During the meeting, management of Transwest Mongolia expressed its appreciation for the cooperation with newly developing University, and that they are open to contribute to the students who are eager to learn. As the only authorized distributor of Komatsu Ltd. in Mongolia, Transwest’s Mongolia supplies mining, road, construction equipments from its factories in Germany, Japan and Canada to Mongolia and provides its full maintanance. Therefore, its is an essential area for GMIT students and lecturers to expand their practice, experiments and research.
