The "GIZ-GMIT" Project Planning Workshop was successfully organized
The 4th Phase Planning Workshop of German-Mongolian University of Resources and Technology project, established in 2013 through an agreement between the Mongolian and German governments, concluded successfully. Organized by the "GIZ-GMIT" project team on January 25 and 26, 2024, the representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, the German Embassy, the KfW, the GIZ-GMIT project team, and GMIT participated in the workshop.
It was discussed the plans across six key areas, focusing on Increasing GMIT’s attractiveness for students (cooperation with German universities to supportGMIT's academic and administration needs, HR development and PR), GMIT's cooperation with the Private Sector; Applied Research and Further Education, Support for the GMIT regarding Accreditation, Green Campus Development, and other topics, Boosting English and German language, Blended-Learning Concept as starting Point for Digitalization, Increasing Diversity and Inclusion at the GMIT. Various team activities were organized to boost participation and action measures were devised for implementation over the next three years.
Throughout the preceding three phases of the "GIZ-GMIT" project, GMIT aimed to introduce innovative teaching and research methods, adopted the German engineering study programs as a model university, graduated over 150 engineers, and awarded scholarships totaling 5.1 billion MNT to 755 students.
