The 9th symposium of GMIT Teachers pointed out the topic of “Teaching and Learning”
The 9th Teachers' symposium of Research and Theory-Practice of the German-Mongolian Institute for the Resources and Technology on the topic “Teaching and Learning” of GMIT were held online and offline between Teachers and Researchers of General education schools, universities, and colleges on October 22, 2022.
For the last two years, regarding the distance learning the symposium emphasized on topic of “Education and Technology”. The participants of the symposium presented the current situation of teaching methods in the psychology of students after the Covid-19 pandemic, changes in the learning environment, and solutions for the electronic transition in the education sector. Participating teachers shared their experiences and teaching and learning methods on the relevant topic, exchange new ideas, and had open discussions.
Furthermore, sub-sessions were held for mathematics, physics, chemistry, and English and German languages subject and professional teachers discussed their suggestions for improvement. The co-organizer of this symposium was the Education Department of Nalaikh district, and more than 100 teachers from the Center for Lifelong Education of Nalaikh district along with the Institute for Educational Research, the National University of Mongolia, the Institute of Engineering and Technology, the Polytechnic College of Engineering and Technology, Mexim Consulting LLC, Oyuni Ireedui of Darkhan-Uul province, Darkhan Empathy, German-Mongolian school19, Dornod high school, International high schools such as New Era, Mongol Aspiration, Orchlon, Mongeni complex, Hobby, Olonlog, New Generation, Terelj Boarding school and Golomt complex of Nalaikh district, Erdmiin Orgil complex, 119th high school, School number 103 participated in the symposium.
During the symposium, D.Ulam-Orgikh, the head of the Department of Physics of NUM, and Director of the Science and Education Innovation Center stated that “The role of a teacher is not to teach in the program, but to develop each child.”
Ms. S.Oyun-Erdene Manager of the 19th school mentioned that one of the challenges that teachers are how to develop the digital children of the new generation when teachers’ methods are going to change along with the changing education. Also, the symposium is vital for strengthening the continuity of primary, secondary and, higher education Institutions.
