Staff and Students of GMIT involved in the Training on “Gender Equality in Higher Education”
The German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology, with the support of the “GIZ-GMIT” project team of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), successfully organized a training on “Gender equality in Higher Education” on March 15, 2022 among academic and administration staff and students at the GMIT Campus.
The training was conducted by Prof. Boldmaa.N, Head of the Department of Social Sciences, University of Commerce and Business and Ms. Bolovson.S, Senior Lecturer in Department of Law and Social Sciences.
The training provided understanding on gender and gender stereotypes to staff and students of the GMIT, as well as how gender equality is reflected in Higher education policy and other activities to increase gender sensibility in the working and studying environment. Furthermore, it is a priority to transfer knowledge of gender equality to students who are starting their career in the field of Engineering, Technology and Mining sector.
During the training, the result of the “Gender Analysis at GMIT - 2021” which was conducted between October 15 to December 15 was presented to staff and students of the GMIT. As a transnational and research based university, the GMIT’s one of the core values are diversity and gender equality.
