The Steering Committee of the GMIT Campus Extension Project discussed its Report 2021 and Plan 2022
The Steering Committee of the German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT) has organized a meeting at the Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia to discuss its’ Report 2021 and Plan for 2022.
Members of the committee, including Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Finance, the GIZ, the KfW Mongolia, the DAAD, the GITEC project and the GMIT attended in the meeting and discussed the regarding issues. It is planned to organize trainings on construction, laboratories equipment, furnitures, maintenance and their proper operation.
The successful implementation of the project to extend the campus of the GMIT will not only train local engineers who are essential for the development of Mongolia's mining, processing and industrial sectors, but also develop and localize scientific research and innovation in the field. The delegation of the MESC highlighted the importance of this issue.
In general, the GMIT will have 4,900 square meters facility including 7 different fully equipped research laboratories, classrooms, and an 800 square meters facility including library and lecture halls until 2024 in line with the campus extension project.
