Congratulations to all the future engineers admitted to GMIT!
As a pioneer in Mongolia, the German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT) organizes “Orientation Week for Freshmen” for newly admitted students taking their first steps from the school classroom into university life.
Throughout the week, new students will have access to the essential information, guidance, and opportunities they need to adapt to their new university environment and confidently begin their student journey.
What is Orientation Week?
Orientation Week is designed to help newly admitted GMIT students become familiar with the university environment, academic life, student services, and opportunities available to them as members of the GMIT community.
During the week, students will:
* Become familiar with GMIT’s campus and academic environment
* Receive important information about academic life and university procedures
* Learn about student services, resources, and opportunities
* Gain essential knowledge about health, safety, and life on campus
* Meet their new classmates and build connections with fellow students
* Receive guidance to help them adapt to university life
* Discover opportunities for learning, personal development, and future growth
Participants: Newly admitted students, including students of the Bachelor Engineering Preparatory Program (BEP) and first-year undergraduate students.
What to Expect During Orientation Week
1. Get to Know GMIT: New students will explore GMIT’s academic environment, campus, and university life, helping them feel comfortable and confident in their new surroundings.
2. Begin Your Academic Journey: Students will receive essential information about academic life, learning at university, and the academic environment at GMIT.
3. Health & Safety: Students will learn important information about health, safety, and responsible life on campus.
4. Student Life & Opportunities: The program will introduce students to student services, development opportunities, university activities, and other opportunities available within the GMIT community.
5. Meet Your New Community: Orientation Week provides an opportunity to meet new classmates, make friends, and take the first step toward becoming part of the GMIT community.
