GMIT Open Day 2025 Successfully Introduced University Programs and Learning Opportunities to Future Students
The German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT) successfully organized the “Open Day 2025” event on 29 November 2025 with the support of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH
The purpose of the Open Day was to introduce GMIT’s operations, academic programs, learning environment, and study opportunities to high school students, their parents, and teachers, while providing them with valuable information about engineering and technology education.
500 Participants Explored GMIT’s Educational Opportunities
A total of 500 students, parents, and teachers participated in the Open Day event from various schools, including: From Ulaanbaatar city:
* Deutsche Schule;
* School No. 84;
* School No. 11;
* Sant School;
* Oyunlag School;
* Mongol Temuulel School.
From Baganuur District:
* Oyunii Erin School;
* Bolovsrol Complex School;
* Gun Galuutai School;
* Mathematics “Tselmeg Club”.
From Nalaikh District:
* School No. 103;
* School No. 109;
* Erdmiin Urguu School;
* Khos Uyangaa School;
* School No. 119.
During the event, participants learned more about GMIT’s undergraduate programs, admission opportunities, campus facilities, laboratories, student life, and the unique features of German-Mongolian educational cooperation.
The opening ceremony was led by Prof. B. Battsengel, Rector of GMIT, and Mr. Sebastian Burghof, Project Manager of GIZ, who welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of providing young people with opportunities to explore engineering and technology education.
The successful implementation of Open Day 2025 provided high school students with a closer understanding of GMIT’s academic environment and supported them in making informed decisions about their future education and career paths.
