Successful Pre-Accreditation Process by ACQUIN
27.02.2018 In 2017, ACQUIN conducted a pre-accreditation process at the German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT).
ACQUIN, an internationally recognized Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute, has accredited more than 100 higher education institutions worldwide – with focus on Europe, Asia, and United States. Famous German Universities, accredited by ACQUIN, are University of Heidelberg, Goethe University Frankfurt, and Freie Universitaet Berlin.
In 2017, ACQUIN conducted a pre-accreditation process at the German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT). The panel of ACQUIN experts came to the following conclusion: The Bachelor programmes ‘Mechanical Engineering’, ‘Raw Materials and Process Engineering’, ‘Environmental Engineering’, and ‘Industrial Engineering’, as well as the Master’s programme ‘International Management of Resources and Environment’ are fulfilling the quality requirements which are described in the “European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the Higher Education Area (ESG)”, and can be considered as eligible for accreditation.
Furthermore, the concepts, module descriptions, and quality objectives of all study programmes at GMIT are in line with the guidelines of the German Accreditation Council. The award of credits is in line with the requirements of ECTS Users’ Guide.
