A joint project report on Airborne investigation system

Ulaanbaatar, 25.09.2019 Mineral Resources and Petroleum Authority of Mongolia and the German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology implemented the first project of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2018 and presented the report on September 25th.

      Under the project, the Faculty of Environment and Natural Sciences of Brandenburg University of Germany, Dr.Rainer Herd implemented a project "RoMo" for the airborne investigation system on selected area of Mandalgobi, Middlegobi by using the latest exploration technology. The magnetic sensor had been researched and identified air, water, soil and natural resources.

       At the meeting of the project report, Director of Geology and Exploration Department of MRPAM, B.Sunjidmaa, , Acting rector of GMIT, Prof. B.Battsengel, Prof. Dr. Rainer Herd, BGR project leader Reinhard Walter, project coordinator Decla Abel, geophysicist Ch.Enebish, geologist N.Munkhnasan and other representatives discussed about outcome of the report.

       Prof. B. Battsengel emphasized "The first project have been implemented successfully, since the Memorandum of Understanding signed. This was a very important work and valuable experience for researchers in the field of research with the latest technology. In the future, we hope there are many other cooperative research projects will be implemented."

      Prof. Dr. Rainer Herd mentioned that the future of this kind of exploration and research work can be involved Mongolian experts and researchers, and will be able to work together to share knowledge and exchange experiences.
