GMIT opens a New Academic Year and awarded over 50 scholarships
Nalaikh (GMIT campus), 02.09.2019 The German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT) has organized the opening of the 2019-2020 new academic year and awarded scholarships to its outstanding students.
Since the German- Mongolian institute for resources and technology was built based on an agreement between Mongolian president Elbegdorj Tsakhia and the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Angela Merkel in 2013, it has been preparing skilled engineers.
There were representatives of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and Sport, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, German International Cooperation Association, German Academic Exchange and Representative Office and GMIT's lecturers, staff, students and their parents.
Today, 27 students have received scholarships from DAAD including one-year full tuition and monthly living expense fees and 24 students awarded GMIT scholarship financed by Mongolian Government.
The GMIT’s studying program is based on German higher education curriculum and is accredited by the Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute (ACQUIN) of European Higher Education Accreditation and Quality Assurance. Accredited programs are:
- Bachelor of Industrial Engineering
- Bachelor of Environmental Engineering
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor of Raw material process Engineering
In this way, the GMIT provides the opportunity for students and graduates to work internationally in leading enterprises in line with world-class engineers and continue to learn for advanced studies.
